Another useful site; which will be provided. Is felixbruns.de. This site provides the firmwares used to downgrade all forms of Apple products: www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

Before any jailbreak, you need to check what firmware your iPod is. You can do this by going Settings/General/About, then scroll down and check your firmware. 3.1.3 is to high so you have to downgrade, wheras 3.1.2 is the right firmware so you can go ahead and jailbreak your device.
